As
I sit my seat on the plane flying from Newark, NJ to Los Angeles, my
mind is racing with thoughts of what's to come. As of yesterday, I am
now enrolled in a post graduate study with Semester at Sea. Initially I
applied for the program in late November. However, due to lack of funds I
wasn't able to proceed in enrolling. Up until mid December I raised the
bulk of my tuition and fees, leaving me with only $5,000 short of my
goal. However, my god is good. He is an on time God. He made a way out
of no way. In the past two days I was able to raise the final cost for
my tuition, thanks to an amazing friend who believes in me. He donated
and also motivated me to keep trying to raise the final funds. Once I
finally
confirmed I had the money, I instantly called the Semester at Sea
program. Although it was New Year's Eve and no one was in the office due
to the holiday. This put me in a bind because I had to apply for rush
Visas. These rush Visas to enter China and India cost a lot of money. My
new worry was should I buy them even without knowing if I could still
attend. Luckily after 5 emails and several phone calls, someone got back
to me from the office. I felt very fortunate because the Director
himself read my email and called me instantly. He walked me through the
process of getting everything together and it all worked out. Hence,
here I am, currently flying to Los Angeles, where in a few days I will
catch a grey hound to San Diego where we board the ship. Moral of the
story, God is good. He is always on time, and he always have agents of
kindness working behind the scenes to aid you, like my really good
friend who has helped make my dream come true. I will be
traveling to 12 countries in 115 days. Today is Day 1 for my
pre-departure. My plane is currently land as I write, and I know this is
just the beginning.
